The WACPAW/EonA team recently conducted a training course in Accra, Ghana, for employees of a poultry abattoir. We have installed cone restrainers and imported a Zephyr poultry stunner from the USA to ensure birds are rendered unconscious before having their throats cut. During this intensive practical training, we demonstrated proper techniques for holding and stunning birds to mitigate the severe suffering observed during a previous visit to the plant. We extend our gratitude to everyone for their dedication to the training and their commitment to the cleaning and maintenance of the stunner.
