Plant-based training for Professional Women
Wacpaw/EonA organized training on Plant-Based Diets for 40 women including Teachers, Nurses, Seamstresses and Market women.
The goal is to empower women with knowledge in menu setting and the inclusion of Plant-Based Diets in their home menus.
The Director of Wacpaw introduced the concept of a Plant-Based Diet and its benefits to Biodiversity and the health of humans.
Our volunteer chefs, Madam Hamdia and Fuseina, took them through menu settings and why it is important to set menus with less or no animal protein.
They were also exposed to different available and cheap food ingredients that could be used to prepare delicious and nutritious meals for their families.
The chefs demonstrated how to prepare three meals with one vegetable source.
They prepared mushrooms in vegetable sources to go with jollof rice, plain rice, and fried plantains.
The women are supposed to implement what they learned in their homes and share their experiences with us.
The women will be placed in a WhatsApp group where they will be guided further on the selection of plant-based diets and also share their weekly plant-based dishes on the platform.
Thank you to all the participants and EonA for supporting the program. Watch this space for more updates on our Plant-Based Diet Campaign. #Eyesonanimals #Veganvillagesociety #animalreader #Vegansociety
